Who is LCMHA?
LCMHA (Lenawee Community Mental Health Authority) provides or manages a full array of services to adults and children with mental health and/or emotional disturbances, persons with substance use disorders, and persons with developmental disabilities. What would this job entail?
The Chief Financial Officer provides both operational and programmatic support to the agency. The CFO supervises the finance unit and is the chief financial spokesperson for the agency, and is responsible for performing complex management responsibilities in the areas of information technologies and facilities management to address issues and further the goals of the LCMHA Board and the Executive Director. The Chief Financial Officer directly assists the Chief Operating Officer (COO) on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding. The CFO is responsible for furthering the efficient operations of the agency. This individual will:
- Understand, adhere to and maintain competency with Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), Prepaid Inpatient Health Plan (PIHP) and applicable accreditation standards, policies, procedures and contract requirements of all applicable funding sources.;
- Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including: organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, reports to funding agencies, development and monitoring of organizational and contract/grant budgets;
- Ensure credibility of Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts;
- Direct and conduct complex administrative, organizational, budgetary and operational studies and analyses; gather and analyze information, evaluate alternatives, and recommend sound courses of action.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
- Master's degree in Business Administration or related studies;
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in a health care or human service agency; experience with the public behavioral health system is preferred;
- Minimum of three years of experience as a supervisor or manager, preferably in a publicly funded program;
- Demonstrated experience in development and management of a complex budget structure, strategic planning and analysis;
- Demonstrated experience overseeing information technology or facilities functions.

The annualized salary for this position is $83,577 per year (based on a 37-1/2 hour work week).
The benefits package includes:
Employees receive a generous paid leave benefit, and paid leave begins to accrue on an employee's first day of employment; an employee would receive about 22-1/2 paid days off in the first year. The number of paid leave hours an employee accrues is based on length of service; the paid leave time accruing increases after one year, five years, and ten years of employment.
Employees receive scheduled annual salary increases, starting after one year of employment.
Paid Holidays -- LCMHA observes 11-1/2 paid holidays per year; employees are eligible for paid holidays as of the first day of employment.
Employees are eligible to enroll in comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance on the first day of the month after being hired. (The agency covers at least 80% of the cost of the medical and vision insurance; dental insurance is at no cost to the employee.) Employees who have medical insurance coverage elsewhere are given a medical insurance opt-out payment.
Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance / Life Insurance (at no cost) -- coverage starts on the 91st day of employment.
Retirement Benefits: participation starts on your first day of employment.
