Who is LCMHA?

LCMHA (Lenawee Community Mental Health Authority) provides or manages a full array of services to adults and children with mental health and/or emotional disturbances, persons with substance use disorders, and persons with developmental disabilities. Our mission is to create a path to resilience, recovery, wellness, and self-determination for these individuals.

What would this job entail?

The Driver is responsible to support consumers in accessing services by providing transportation services as needed, and performing courier services between LCMHA locations as requested. Specifically, this individual will:

  • Pick up consumers from the place and at the time assigned.
  • Identify driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip.
  • Responsible for accurate documentation of all information regarding consumer transport in the agency's electronic health record for the consumer, within the agency's timeliness standards.
  • Adhere to all traffic and motor vehicle laws and regulations.
  • Drive on established route to deliver mail, packages and files between agency locations or as requested.
  • Assist the team in maintaining the calendar of consumer contacts.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

The qualifications for this position are:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Possess a valid U.S. driver's license, with an acceptable driving record.
  • Basic computer knowledge (such as familiarity with email and internet use) and experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience working with adults with serious mental illness is desired.

The annualized wage for this position is $11,005 to $13,665 (based on a 15-hour work week).

(Occasional part-time status employees who are regularly scheduled to work an average of less than 20 hours per week on an annualized basis are not eligible for any of the benefits programs offered to full-time employees of the Agency.)
