Who is LCMHA?

LCMHA (Lenawee Community Mental Health Authority) provides or manages a full array of services to adults and children with mental health and/or emotional disturbances, persons with substance use disorders, and persons with developmental disabilities. What would this job entail?

The Executive / Human Resources Administrative Assistant is responsible for the coordination of administrative activities at the executive level. They work closely with members of the Board through monthly committee meetings on a regular and recurring basis. In addition, the Executive / Human Resources Administrative Assistant assists with the day-to-day administrative functions of the HR Department including administration of the HRIS platform, recordkeeping, new employee onboarding and various other HR activities.. Specifically, this individual will:

  • Serve as primary contact with Board of Directors;
  • Serve as primary initial point of contact for public communications with agency's Executive Director; handle inquiries regarding Executive Director administrative activities and maintain the Executive Director's calendar;
  • Perform administrative support duties for the Lenawee County Recipients' Rights officer;
  • Coordinates new employee recruitment;
  • Responds to requests such employment verifications, unemployment claims, payroll garnishments, insurance, etc.;
  • Maintains the human resources information system (HRIS), benefits portal, HR sections of the Internet and Intranet pages, electronic and/or physical personnel files, agency organization charts, employee directories, and generates reports as needed;
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

The qualifications for this position are:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Three or more years of work experience supporting at the executive-level.
  • One or more years of similar HR work experience required.
  • Basic computer knowledge (such as familiarity with email and internet use) and advanced experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) and HRIS platform(s)

The annualized salary range for this position is $50,622 to $62,868 per year (based on a 37-1/2 hour work week).

The benefits package includes:

Employees receive a generous paid leave benefit, and paid leave begins to accrue on an employee's first day of employment; an employee would receive about 22-1/2 paid days off in the first year. The number of paid leave hours an employee accrues is based on length of service; the paid leave time accruing increases after one year, five years, and ten years of employment.

Employees receive scheduled annual salary increases, starting after one year of employment.

Paid Holidays -- LCMHA observes 11-1/2 paid holidays per year; employees are eligible for paid holidays as of the first day of employment.

Employees are eligible to enroll in comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance as of the first day of employment.

  • Medical insurance: the agency covers:
    • 100% of the cost of medical insurance for employees who enroll at the employee-only coverage level.
    • At least 91% of the cost of medical insurance for employees who enroll at the employee-plus-one or family coverage level (depending on the plan selection).
  • Vision insurance: the agency covers 87% of the cost for all coverage levels;
  • Dental insurance: the agency covers 100% of the cost for all coverage levels.

Employees who have medical insurance coverage elsewhere are given a medical insurance opt-out payment (as of the first day of employment).

Long-Term Disability and Life Insurance (at no cost) -- coverage starts on the 91st day of employment.

Retirement Benefits: participation starts as of the first day of employment.
