Family and Parent Support Partner

The Family and Parent Support Partner helps families engage in Community Mental Health (CMH) services as well as meet with families in their homes to work on identified goals, help parents and caregivers navigate the CMH system and other systems, and connect families with community resources. He/she has expertise that professional training cannot replicate because of his/her life experience.

The Family and Parent Support Partner is a person familiar with the public mental health system and is willing to self-identify as a parent of a child who has received services in the mental health system, and will work to assist other parents or families who have a child (or children) with a serious emotional disturbance.
