LCMHA (Lenawee Community Mental Health Authority) provides or manages a full array of services to adults and children with mental health and/or emotional disturbances, persons with substance use disorders, and persons with developmental disabilities. Overview

Launch your professional journey with Lenawee Community Mental Health Authority (LCMHA) – a public behavioral health organization dedicated to promoting resilience, recovery, wellness, and self-determination in Lenawee County. Interns at LCMHA gain real-world experience supporting a full continuum of community mental health services, including Children's Services, Adult Mental Health (MI), Intellectual/Developmental Disability (I/DD) Services, Access & Crisis Services, Psychiatry/Medication Services, and Community Outreach. This internship builds practical skills, enhances your professional network, and deepens your understanding of system-based care delivery.

These internship experiences are ideal for students in psychology, social work, counseling, human services, public health, nursing, and allied fields seeking meaningful, supervised experience in community-based behavioral health. Participants will work alongside skilled professionals in a supportive, mission-driven environment that values diversity, ethical practice, and community partnership.
