Medical Records Coordinator

Lenawee Community Mental Health Authority is currently recruiting a full time Medical Records Coordinator.  The candidate will:

  • Perform oversight duties for the releasing of all consumer confidential related information. Such duties must meet all applicable laws, rules, and regulations governing the release of confidential consumer information;
  • Perform oversight duties for the processing and recording of consumer information coming to the agency from outside sources;
  • Review validity of all agency release of information forms that are completed by agency staff;
  • Enter clinical information as needed on the agency's electronic health record system.

 

The qualifications for this position are:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required;
  • One year of prior experience working with clinical and/or medical records is desirable; previous experience working with clinical and/or medical records on an electronic health record system is preferred;
  • Basic computer knowledge (such as familiarity with email and internet use) and experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) is highly desirable.
